Resize Image to 50 KB
Compress toward 50 KB with a preset file-size target. Adjust pixel dimensions and quality, then inspect and download your image.
Your image stays on your device: processing happens locally in the browser, with no upload to our servers. For large files, processing can use significant memory. Save the output using the Download button.
Examples: 20 KB, 50 KB, 100 KB, 200 KB, 500 KB, 1 MB, 2 MB. JPG or WebP recommended. Output is approximate; complex images may need smaller dimensions.
Compact profile and form attachments
Use the size and pixel requirements supplied by the receiving form. Reducing empty space before compression can be more effective than pushing a full photograph to very low quality.
How to compress toward 50 KB
- Choose an image from your device. The target field is already set to 50 KB.
- Enter any pixel dimensions required by the destination. Keep aspect ratio enabled to avoid stretching.
- Choose JPG or WebP, press Resize / Compress, and download the result.
Practical example
For a small profile photograph, first enter the permitted pixel dimensions, keep the aspect ratio and try JPG. Inspect the face at actual display size before uploading.
Check the actual downloaded size
The target is approximate. The tool may reduce quality and dimensions in several steps. If it cannot reach the target within its limits, try a smaller width or height. PNG has limited size control. The size calculation uses 1024 bytes per KB and 1024 KB per MB; a receiving site may count bytes differently.
Frequently asked questions
Will the result be exactly 50 KB?
No exact byte count is guaranteed. Check the downloaded file against the receiving limit. Use a slightly lower target if the destination applies a strict or differently calculated limit.
Can I keep the same dimensions?
The initial encoding uses your chosen dimensions. If the target cannot be reached by adjusting quality, this tool may reduce dimensions further. Check both dimensions and size after download.
Does the photo leave my device?
The resize operation runs locally in your browser. The page also loads advertising and optional analytics; see the privacy policy for site-wide details.
