Image Resizer & Compressor

Resize, compress, and convert JPG, PNG, and WebP files in your browser.

Your image stays on your device: processing happens locally in the browser, with no upload to our servers. For large files, processing can use significant memory. Save the output using the Download button.

Examples: 20 KB, 50 KB, 100 KB, 200 KB, 500 KB, 1 MB, 2 MB. JPG or WebP recommended. Output is approximate; complex images may need smaller dimensions.

How to use this tool

  1. Choose an image and enter the desired width and height.
  2. Keep aspect ratio on to avoid stretching; select an output format.
  3. Optionally enter a KB or MB target, process, and check the downloaded dimensions and file size.

How the tool works

Pixel dimensions control the width and height. File size also depends on format, image detail and compression quality; equal dimensions do not guarantee equal KB.

Worked example

For a large product photo, start with a 1200 px width and keep aspect ratio enabled. Choose JPG or WebP and try a 200 KB target, then inspect text and edges in the downloaded result.

What to check before using the result

Size targets are approximate. To meet a small target, the tool may reduce both quality and dimensions. PNG has limited size control. Inputs are limited to 30 MB and output to 32 million pixels.

Frequently asked questions

Can it produce exactly 100 KB?

No exact byte count is promised. It attempts to reach the target; complex images may need smaller dimensions or a different format.

Does PNG use the quality slider?

The quality slider applies to JPG and WebP. For PNG, reduce dimensions or switch format when file size is the priority.
